    this is really beautiful Christine. I just love how the flame from the candle is positioned in the frame, as if it’s being blown gently. the bugs are a great touch too. the exposure is just amazing. it’s so hard metering candles from what i’ve heard. never tried it personally. how did you go about doing this ?

  • Hi Adrian – Thank you so much for your comment. I’m a bit of a “trial and error” sort of photographer. Take a lot of photos until I get one or two that are just right and then learn from the settings. Here is what they were:
    Shutter Speed 1/64 second
    Lens aperture: F/5.6
    Exposure: 1/60 second
    ISO: 800
    Metering Mode: Pattern
