“The Show In the Park”

The 38th Annual Arts and Crafts Show – 1st Sunday in June

Time: Sunday, June 5, 2011 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain or shine!)

Place: Center Park in Manchester, Connecticut, located at Main Street (Route 83) and Center Street (Routes 6/44). Beautiful setting - shaded areas. There will be no assigned spaces, but there will be separate areas designated for fine arts and for crafts. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!

Awards: Cash awards in each category (both Arts and Crafts) for Best of Show, 2nd, and 3rd places.
Honorable mention ribbons.

Entry Fee: $65.00 for non-MAA members, $65.00 for Food Vendors (includes spices/herbal vendors)

Late Fee: Applications postmarked after the entry deadline of May 1, 2011, will be charged an additional $20.00 late fee. After May 20, please call to find out if space is still available: 860-995-0511.
No refund of application fees due to inclement weather.

Rules

Eligibility:

Open to all professional and amateur arts/crafts persons. One exhibitor per booth. All art and craft media MUST be the original handcrafted work of the ENTRANT.
Please submit photos of your work or a website where your work can be seen. The Manchester Art Association reserves the right to accept or reject any entry including on the day of the show.

Liability: Manchester Art Association shall in no way be responsible for any loss or damage to work exhibited or for personal injury.

Taxes:
All exhibitors MUST have a current CT SALES TAX REGISTRATION NUMBER which MUST be visibly
displayed at your booth.
You may apply for one at the Department of Revenue Services, State of Connecticut,25 Sigourney Street, Hartford, CT 06106-5032 (telephone (860) 297-5880, Mr. Cy Booth).

Each exhibitor is responsible for his/her own sales taxes.Parking: You may unload on streets adjacent to the park. Do not bring your vehicles on the grassy areas of the park. Parking is available close by. Please note “NO PARKING” signs.A map explaining further parking details will be sent to you along with your confirmation.Setup:

Size of booth space is limited to a maximum of 14 feet by 14 feet. Please stay within your 14 by 14 area. Please bring your own tables, chairs, coverings, etc. Manchester Art Association reserves the right to accept or reject any setup.

Mail application form below, photos of your work (or web address where your work can be seen), and your check for the application fee before May 1, 2011, to:

Make all checks payable to MANCHESTER ART ASSOCIATION. Receipt will be confirmed by information
packet mailed to you.
Please report to the registration desk between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on the day of the
show to pick up your entry card. (You may set up prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of the show) After registration, please display your entry card prominently at your booth. The judges will indicate on your entry card that you have been judged. MAA Show hotline number: (860) 995-0511.
