these took my breath away, they lined the streets zigzagging across the bridges and walkways, and when the wind blew, they would dance in the wind – you could feel it in your soul

I’m a veteran who served in a combat unit. I have seen the terrible loss first hand. Every soldier lost was someone special. Thank you for this picture honoring the ones lost. Let’s hope that someday there can be peace in this world.

a moving tribute to those who have been lost … well done christiane in your capture…we have signs posted along a roads with soldiers’ names and age and where they were from and I end up driving past blocks and miles of too many of them and need to pull over and just cry… memorial day becomes real doesn’t it? xx

it amazed me how simple little flags created by unknown hands could send such chills though my body – as artists I think we can put this out there for others to put a human side to the story

Well it seems that there are some out there that hate the USA, guess that is their right but it is not their right to attack me for simply being born here. War is not pretty, but there will never be peace as long as there are people who are intolorant of others and think their opinion is the only right one.

E Pluribus Unum “Out of Many, One” Natural born citizen or immigrant “We the People” are a work in progress and from the day this nation was founded we as a nation have changed, the constant is “We the People” thirteen stars to fifty stars regardless of the good and the bad…”And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” Even with the nightmare of the past few years of banal evil men who have mismanaged this great nation there is hope and yes “change” if “We the People” will and demand change in the face of those that would demand that the status quo remain…..red white and blue on this banner has and will continue to fly once again with hope for us and those that respect “We the People.” This is so beautiful the United States is all about “CHANGE”….Namaste.
