What do you feel?
Tell us in 500 words.
We really want your voice to be heard!
You have one minute.
If they don’t get it, then they don’t get it.

Here is a canvas, a piece of paper, but not the whole world.
Not neapolitan.
We know that’s what you want, but you can either have vanilla, chocolate, or swirl.
Artistic expression offers no variety anymore.

All is black, or all is white.
You can write stories of peace, or stories of fights.
There’s no in between, you’re a hero or a villain.
Not someone who believes they are the hero while they enslave millions.
Not the truth of society, in which right and wrong is sometimes abstract.
But 100% pure or impure, intentions remaining absolute and intact.

I want my art to reflect the world in which we live.
Where we are surrounded by questions but have no answers to give.
Where walking down the street is part beauty and part danger.
Where your heart is always torn between reaching out and not talking to strangers.

Cracks in the sidewalk mirror the cracks in our hearts.
Chasing busses, trolleys, our love before it departs.

Why does all of this feel like a chase?
Take a moment.
Maybe for the first time, look life at a value beyond the face.

This world is complex, intricate, full of color.
The paint of one moment bleeds into another.
It’s a mixture, tie dye, the most glorious artifact.
So fuck the guidelines and accept that your life can be abstract.

Life is expression without the limited word count.
So take the regulations and throw them out.

This is your life, comparisons do not matter.
This is your gallery, let the paint splatter.

What do you feel?
Life is art.
But this art is real.
