I`m a Belgian painter-portraitist, the gift of painting was handed to me as a birthday present when my friend-artist May Ling Yong gave me my first canvas and paint kit.
I never suspected it would be such a passion, but there`s no stopping me since.
Painting is my creative outlet, a way to express myself and a source of great joy. It has opened my eyes and heart wider and has made me look at the world around me through the filter of my creative `self` permanently.
My preferred medium is acrylic on canvas in various techniques; using paintbrushes, cardboard pieces, paint knives and/ or simply my hands.
I tend to have a rainbow of colours on my pallet and express my feelings and connection to the subject through them.
My work focuses on the human form; faces and nudes. I have a great love of portraits; trying to capture the moment and the feeling in the subject`s eyes. I’m inspired by all things beautiful and often by books, music and films. `
