Pawns by Chris Snyder

A shot from my archives that I decided to process due to the subjects. It gives an almost painting like feel due to the fog that was heavy this particular morning. The turkeys were unconcerned about the bull elk walking by.

Canon 40D, Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS L @170, ISO 400 @ 1/400 sec. 0 EV.

About Chris Snyder

Hi, my name is Chris Snyder and I reside in beautiful Western North Carolina, USA. I have been a swim coach since 1990 and have been selling my photography since 2006. My wife and I are avid mountain bikers and also are very involved in animal rescue. We always have a menagerie of some size and makeup. Most of my images are of nature whether wildlife or landscapes. I hope you enjoy.

What a huge beast Chris,it looks like a 12 point wapiti? Its white points combined with the colour of it’s back against the foggy background is like a dream come true!!

  • He was a biggun’ We are fortunate to get foggy conditions many mornings during the rut in SMNP.
