Beary Blue Eyed Cinnamon Black Bearby Chris Snyder
Driving back from the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone we were amazed to see this large cinnamon black bear grazing by the side of the road. I literally reached out of the car window to take this. Amazing blue eyes that might possibly be cataracts or just a genetic anomaly. We don’t have cinnamon black bears in the eastern part of the US.

Wow, you captured a lovely close up shot of this bear! I have never in my life seen or heard of a Black bear ( cinnamon color) with blue eyes! The bear’s eyes are sparkling blue with deep black iris’s, not characteristic of cataracts, so I don’t believe they are cataracts, but the actual color of them! Very nice!
