A Rock Star's Family
I ran up Grayson Highlands to see the ponies and the color of the season. Got both with mist rain and wind. Loved it. Canon 7D @70mm f 10.

Wonderful photo of these interesting wild ponies. I like the mist in the background with the muted fall “peak” colors too.
Chris Snyder replied
Thanks Jane. We have a couple more days here till we hit peak. Better than expected color I think.

Fantastic capture. What an amazing looking wee pony…a rockstar indeed!! You should add him into the Ponies group.
Chris Snyder replied
Thanks artyfifi! I didn’t find a ponies group, but I did find the Pony Club group. Thanks.

Nicely composed! The combination of wind blowing the manes and tails as well as the fog and lighting add so much mood to this lovely capture! : )
Chris Snyder replied
Thanks Sandy. I had only a short time up there but I was actually pleased with the conditions and results.

Sturdy little ponies (and camera-man…lol). Great capture.
Chris Snyder replied
Thanks K. They are quite sturdy. It is fun seeing some of the foals grow up.

Back on the horse…so to speak…...
Chris Snyder replied
Yep! You’ll see quite a few new shots. Especially, ponies. My mother in law requested a pony calendar :-)

Ah, new body and a great place to practice with it! Beautiful shot, love the coloring on the ponies.
Chris Snyder replied
The new body was one of the reasons I woke up well before dawn to head up there :-)
