Photography has been an obsession since I was 13 years old and went off to Italy clutching my mother’s 1940s roll film camera. I’ve been fooling with computers since I bought an Amiga 1000 back in 1985. My first chunky pixelized images were digitized into that machine using a black and white CCTV camera. At last, with today’s software and hardware I feel that I can create the images I see in my mind’s eye. Visit my website at

Well captured Chris, a little sad, that however is the way of things

  • It is a little sad Barry but also fascinating. I have pictures of this pier taken at intervals as I have visited over the years showing the pier in every state it has been in except during the actual fire – wish I’d been there for that :-).And even in the last few years now that it is beyond much further change I keep shooting it. It is indeed the way of things, said with a glance at the mirror :( Thanks very much for the compliment, cheers.
