Photography has been an obsession since I was 13 years old and went off to Italy clutching my mother’s 1940s roll film camera. I’ve been fooling with computers since I bought an Amiga 1000 back in 1985. My first chunky pixelized images were digitized into that machine using a black and white CCTV camera. At last, with today’s software and hardware I feel that I can create the images I see in my mind’s eye. Visit my website at www.PixielatedPixels.com

Even here in Edmonton, this tree is well known. I have to get on the internet and find out how big it is and how many lights are on it…I’m the kind of person who just needs to know! Great shot…just love it.
  • Thank you Lou, that’s very much appreciated. Even I don’t know how many lights are on it, I should find out too! Cheers

Looked it up for fun…this year’s tree is an 80-ft. Norway spruce that survived hurricane Sandy…it will be covered with about 30,000 lights attached to some 5 miles of wiring! Hats off to the people who do the lights!!

  • The stat that gets me is the five miles of wiring! Sounds like the mess behind my entertainment cabinet! Wow, that’s a hell of a lot of lights and wire! Great info Lou, thanks.
