St Nicolas’ Church, Church Lane, Pevensey, Wealden, East Sussex, England. The ancient parish church of Pevensey. Situated a short walk from the entrance to the famous castle, Pevensey parish church is appropriately dedicated to the patron saint of sailors. The church remains, on the whole, an excellent example of Early English architecture, and its size reflects the importance of Pevensey at the time of its construction.

Photography has been an obsession since I was 13 years old and went off to Italy clutching my mother’s 1940s roll film camera. I’ve been fooling with computers since I bought an Amiga 1000 back in 1985. My first chunky pixelized images were digitized into that machine using a black and white CCTV camera. At last, with today’s software and hardware I feel that I can create the images I see in my mind’s eye. Visit my website at www.PixielatedPixels.com

    Totally awesome capture my friend!!!

  • The counties around my hometown are dotted with tiny old churches, most were built by the Normans although a very few show remnants of Saxon beginnings. They are all very photogenic and the country ones are always in very beautiful surrounds. Many near the coast are connected to legends of smuggling and such! Always fun to photograph. Glad you liked this one JR. Thank you so much, cheers.

    oohhhh fantastic work!

  • So kind of you to say so Ms-Bexy. I managed to get in a couple of nice little walks in the countryside during my 5 recent weeks in Brighton including some of your favorites like Devil’s Dyke and the Seven Sisters area. I do so love the South Downs areas. However we got to Pevensey via Hastings on the good old Bus! Thanks for stopping by, cheers.
