Photography has been an obsession since I was 13 years old and went off to Italy clutching my mother’s 1940s roll film camera. I’ve been fooling with computers since I bought an Amiga 1000 back in 1985. My first chunky pixelized images were digitized into that machine using a black and white CCTV camera. At last, with today’s software and hardware I feel that I can create the images I see in my mind’s eye. Visit my website at www.PixielatedPixels.com

Is this a painting, a composite photo or is that one glider really flying that close to the others in the opposite direction.

There looks to be some imperfections on the shot – hairs or dust on the lens?

  • I added textures to the shot for a picturesque look. In fact I placed all three gliders and the sky was shot elsewhere as well. I’m much more into the fantasy than reportage. The pure beauty of these gliders deserved a fairy tale setting. :-) They really were shot over the Devil’s Dyke however! It’s a favorite place for this sort of thing amongst the green hills of the South Downs of England. Always tons of these and hang gliders as well. Thanks very much for your interest and comments.
