A sculptured tomb guardian stands near Spring’s best floral display, a large dogwood tree in full bloom.

A composite of two images both shot with a Canon 5D MKII at a location in Brooklyn, New York City. Blended in Photoshop.

Photography has been an obsession since I was 13 years old and went off to Italy clutching my mother’s 1940s roll film camera. I’ve been fooling with computers since I bought an Amiga 1000 back in 1985. My first chunky pixelized images were digitized into that machine using a black and white CCTV camera. At last, with today’s software and hardware I feel that I can create the images I see in my mind’s eye. Visit my website at

    Awesome capture!!

  • I love dogwoods, certainly my favorite spring bloom, even over cherry blossoms and magnolias but I always find them hard to photograph with good results. This huge tree was a natural and I had to grab a few shots. Glad you enjoyed it too, thanks Jr, cheers.
