A seaside seafood place under the ‘arches" on Brighton’s Seafront

Photography has been an obsession since I was 13 years old and went off to Italy clutching my mother’s accordion style 1940s roll film camera. I’ve been fooling with computers since I bought an Amiga 1000 back in 1985. My first chunky pixelized images were digitized into that machine using a black and white CCTV camera. At last, with today’s software and hardware I feel that I can create the images I see in my mind’s eye.

A wonderful capture!! What’s a kipper?!
Thanks very much Lorilee, a kipper is basically a smoked herring. They are very popular as a breakfast item in England. The title for this is taken from an oft repeated catch phrase from the infamous Brit TV comedy called Red Dwarf, an old favorite of mine.

Neat looking!!
I’ve walked past this place many times but never actually ate there, I think on my next visit back to Blighty I must fix that and try some of their fish soup! Cheers JR, thanks very much.

Great shot

Great shot, but I’ll pass on the kippers…seafood is not my thing. :)
Actually, while I love the flavor of kippers I avoid them due to all the bones! Thanks for the nice comment Lou-Garew, cheers.

classc image…(very fond memories of living and working in Brighton back in the 80’s)…can almost smell the fish n’chips on the front….
That makes four thing we have in common :-) Brighton! Although I was long gone by the eighties and didn’t get back as much back then. Ah, fish & chips, you just can’t get it anywhere but England, not done right anyway. I always go for sit down fish & chips on the pier when I get back, cheap luxury! Thanks very much for the great comment Russ, cheers.
