This photo was taken at the beach at Findhorn, Morayshire a good while after the sun had set – almost an hour I think.

The gloaming light seems to be lingering for much longer now that we’re getting into summer leaving some great colour in the sky.

Shot with a Canon EOS 400D and Tamron SP17-50mm lens.

I took similar shots along side these with my Mamiya 645 and Velvia 50 – I hope to post one or two once I’ve had them developed and scanned.

Beautiful comp and colours Chris. Great sky. Fav. for me :)

  • Thanks Jim, it was quite a nice sunset although I feel the colours here aren’t quite as good as they were at the time – especially in the reds. A new version of this shot may appear soon.

Beautiful, mood, light, strong foreground interest and colour, this has them all. You have some wonderful images within your portfolio.

  • Thank you for your comments David.
