Judging or Criticizing

Before judging or criticizing another I’ve always found it’s a good idea to look into my own reflection as the judgment or critical view may well be something that’s actually within my self that I am seeing as a reflection through another.

Seeing jealousy, envy, contempt or any other bad view of another could be from such emotions within my self and not that of the other at all.

Home truths sometimes hurt but it is a good pain to come to understand my self as it helps me grow towards maturity.

As Jesus said: ‘Hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly the mote in your brother’s eye’.

In other words: judge yourself before you judge anyone else.

Look for the reason within your self as to why you see another as you suppose them to be – as it could be just your self you are actually seeing.
