I am a night worker
I work the whole night through
I am a night worker
At dawn I come home to you
You are a day worker
You work the whole day through
You are a day worker
Coming home at night it’s true
I am a night worker
Working the graveyard shift
You are a day worker
The sun you always miss
I am a night worker
The moon my sun of day
And this way I’ll always stay
I am a night worker
Don’t know what to say
I love everyday
Or should I say night
Maybe that’s right
But I am a night worker
I work most nights the whole night through
And I do it for you!
I am a dreamer
I let GOD teach me from there
When I am asleep
My Lord will keep me safe
‘Though I walk through the valley of death
In darkness he leadeth me’
He teaches me within my dreams
I only have to ask
And GOD comes through like always
In my quests for an understanding path
Of the way
Yes, I am a night worker
I learn from within the dark
I leave the confusions of day behind
When I study at night in sleep
I ask to know why and He shows me the way
For as He said many years ago – in another day
‘Seek, and ye shall find’
