WINTER CHILLS

Winter chills
Give me thrills
As I listen
To the rain
Taping on my window pane

And the glory
As God’s angels
Cleanse the earth
Where so many of His children
Have been birthed

And the sparkling
Raindrops and dew
As I sit and think of you
With a fire crackling
On the hearth

I thank thee God
My father
For my birth
On this planet
Named earth.
