Opening Night Shots of 'Well Rooted' Exhibition @ MLC Gallery
A lovely albeit quite opening night at the MLC Gallery for my first solo exhibition ‘Well Rooted’ on 4th November, 2009. I have been in a number of group exhibitions but finally held a solo one to achieve a goal I set at 9 years of age – to have a solo art exhibition. I’m now in planning for the next 2 to be held in 2010.
Friends came to view the works and a few visitors (strangers to me) dropped in for a look too, which was great.
And, surprisingly, I had a sale, so I am a happy girl.
Special thanks go to my friend Glen Phimister who not only sponsored some of the art materials but also helped by transporting the art to the gallery. Big thank you to Glen … and also to Belinda who purchased one of my art works … and to Garrett and staff at MLC Gallery who made the experience easy to handle :)

Yes, Laurie was on the stage singing.. but somehow I wasn’t there and I missed it!!

Oh bummer you weren’t there to hear Laurie sing … I would have loved to come along but was not too well … will pop in and look at the exhibition during the week … have to go into radiologist so will drop in then.
