    Thanks Jodi :)
Gallery owner at Kempsey asked me to go to that spot and paint it so I did. He wanted the ghostly light captured, which I feel I accomplished doing for him. I loved painting it as it gave me such a serene feeling the entire time of working on it.
This painting is no longer in my possession as is in private collection in Kempsey, NSW, Australia.

congratulations on the sale of this, I know how they two types of trees look together really beautiful Lovely painting.

  • C J Lewis replied

Hi Ginny, thanks, Yes, those two trees do go well together. I see them as one solid and hardy (dates) and the other as tall but fragile with a majestic air.
I didn’t sell it…I gave it to the Gallery owner who asked me to paint it. I’ve never sold a painting in my life…didn’t think they were good enough…all given as gifts to those who liked them :)

  • C J Lewis replied

Must add Ginny that I did get wrapped over the knuckles, so to say, by an artist who told me I was not to give my art away for nothing…so I don’t anymore :)
