No, I’m not a black St. Bernard! I’m a Newf and actually, it is the Saint Bernard that looks like a Newfoundland.
My sweet and gentle temperament combined with my devotion and eagerness to please my owner make me the best of the giant breeds. From being a cute little teddy bear puppy I grew into a 150 pound dog who won’t stay out of the swimming pool, and I can sling slobber up to 20 feet :-)
I love my family more than anything else … they call me Nature’s Babysitter.

This picture is priceless. What a beautiful breed; At the cottage with my friend’s Newfie and children he never once left the children unattended by the water and he walked between the water’s edge and the smallest children at all times. They are so smart and wonderful. Cheers

I have had 3 Newfies in the past. They are the greatest…and they definitely can fling slobber!!!
