There are about 80 species of Magnolia in the U.S. No wonder it is the state flower of both Mississippi and Louisiana.
The Magnolia is one of the most magnificent of the fragrant trees. It blooms in early spring before the leaves come on. I wished magnolias would bloom all year so I could enjoy their scent always. But nature is as life – things we treasure don’t last forever.
So I wait with eager anticipation for the next blooming season.

Yes, there’s a HUGE magnolia tree in front of a bldg I’m at everyday, and I have taken many photos of its gorgeous flowers. This one is really very good!
