My sweetest embrace was not with my lover, As our eyes locked and we made love for the first time. My sweetest embrace was not with my friend, As she held me and I cried in my loss. My sweetest embrace was not with my mother, when she sheltered me as a child from my fears. My sweetest embrace was with myself, as I held myself and found love for the first time. A love beyond physicality. A love beyond conditions.
Before I found love within myself, I know not of true love. I believed that love could be lost and found. I searched out there when it was already within. There are sweet embraces waiting for you everywhere, in each moment.
Let each action not be a response to fear, But instead a hymn to love. Let each thought be not of limitation, But instead of endless possibility. No longer be shrouded by guilt and fear, But be blessed by innocence and love. There is a wholeness in all of us, beyond sickness, death and loss.
