Love you mum ~ Lion style by

A lioness (Panthera leo leo) in the Serengeti, Tanzania enforces the bonds between family. They had just been eating a zebra that her and the pride had killed.

The lion is listed as vulnerable on the IUCN red list. The main threats to lions are indiscriminate killing (primarily as a result of retaliatory or pre-emptive killing to protect life and livestock) and prey base depletion. Habitat loss and conversion has led to a number of populations becoming small and isolated (Bauer 2008).

    Beautiful capture mate

  • Cheers mate. Unfortunately we didn’t witness a kill :( But they were still chewing on it a bit but most of them were relaxing with massive tummy’s. A few of them looked like they were about to explode!
