Well OK

He had heard the sounds of silence
He had seen the deeds of men
He had lived a life in times
That may be never seen again

And what had this all brought him?
And what would he have done?
If all this folderol
Was anything but fun?

Well they led him to his ending
Then placed him in his grave
For when all was said & done
There was nothing left to save

Then all who knew & loved him
Were sad that he had gone
But they all remembered fondly
The good that he had done

We rely too much on feelings
We live too much for things
We vainly seek the solace that
Stimulation brings

We must find what is so magic
Must seek & search to find
The essence of our living
The hope of all mankind

Well OK by

Folderol is an old word for foolish nonsense, I had not thought of it for 40 years.
I heard of a cheerful man who lived well & died peacefully & one of the last coherent things he said was " well ok"
When he was gone, all that was left were stories & memories- lucky man
