She’s so fine

She’s so fine

Do I step out into the water?
Take a chance upon the brine?
Do I trust someone else’s future?
Or shall I just concentrate on mine?

Standing quietly on the shoreline
Where the waves of fortune land
Face the choice of mothers before me
From my mum to great-grand-grand

To be responsive to another
Care for ones along our line
I shall care for our future for
As a baby, she’s so fine

Well what terrible choices we face today. Choices that as a male & as a father of 4 very independant adults I find hard to appreciate. I admire so much the women in my life who do & have done so much.
Barssel gives me an image- I try to write the words that match those images. Each of us sees life through the filter of our own experiences

I have written poetry since I was 14 which was a long time ago. I have seen a lot & done a lot in the fields of health, emergency & disaster planning & response as well as administration, education & research- I enjoy life.

    Beautiful writing Chris…

Do I trust someone else’s future?
Or shall I just concentrate on mine?

Love this part…its a question I ask myself all the time
