A Tree in a Forest Falls by Chris1249

Once I was a Tree

Somewhere in your words
your voice became more important
than anything you could possibly say.

That was the fall,
only a little fall
the shoes floated to the carpet
with such a gentle thud.

But I fell none the less

Of course, your words illuminate new life into this fallen tree. :) xox

  • Thanks Jen, but I think the tree can speak for its self or at least make a sound… provided of course there is an ear to hear it :))xx

Magical light and a wonderful sense of motion in this image Chris, and your poetry draws the viewer to feel the scene.

Poignant and lovely…so much emotion captured in this scene.
    Thank you for sharing this!!!!

  • Thanks Robin I appreciate you comments. I am a little confused. Although I don’t recognised you from your avatar or from your art but something strikes a chord. However I see from your profile that you only joined in May 2011 and you have already posted a fair bit of good work (My sense of humour was nudged into open laughter at “If you happy and you know it…”)
