Through my eyes I can see the world,
the trees, flowers, and sky;
I can see the smile on a childs face,
and the frown on the working clown:
Through my eyes, I can see tall buildings,
and old barns abandoned in the countryside;
I can see the burns of the wounded,
and the scars of the misfortunate;
Through my eyes, I can see the pain in your eyes,
and I can see your doubtful expressions;
Through my eyes, I can see………..
and I hope through my eyes I may heal.
