    I love the Brooklyn Bridge - ever since I read the non-fiction book called “The Great Bridge”.
    It was a story about the engineer and designer of the bridge and the building of the bridge. It told how a promenade was built into the design so that it could be walked or biked across. A couple of years ago I did that -     took the subway to the first stop in Brooklyn and walked back into Manhattan. Only by doing that can one get a true sense of the genius of this bridge and see a great view of the downtown skyline as from nowhere else.
