MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

♠♫☼ Seasons Greetings to Everyone !! ☼♫♠

This is the week of Christmas
[we are on the 7th day of Christmas – _{seven soldiers Marching or something?} lol]

☼ In the true sense of Exceptional Ekphrasis I have tried to tell the story of what we do on Christmas day by creating a story board in the EEG featured art block from the awesome art in the group !! ☼

Starting at the top left, we acknowledge that we believe in the year time changed from BC to AD [_{ok dates can be debated later}] – there were 3 kings that were drawn to the birth of someone who would change the course of history. Jesus Christ’s birth has been celebrated in some way at this time of the year ever since. Stories and Tales have been told of it ever since, many around the evening fire. When you look inside the windows of a latter day Christian festive home you will find the family enjoying in the feast transformed by love into what we know is the magical spirit of Christmas. Today we also celebrate with the icon of Santa Clause / St Nicholas / Father Christmas [and every multicultural name that he goes by] leaving presents beneath an ever green tree for the children to enjoy [adgray has a brilliant story about this that we tell children, about the time that they start to not believe in Santa.] The Presents we claim he brings will give joy to boy girl man & woman. And there cannot be a Christmas meal without the bonbons & the inevitable bad joke! [well not in Australia]

I have to say it was George who gave me the idea of doing this display with his chook crossing the road picture, after all I’m pretty sure it was the first bad Christmas bon-bon joke ever! … wasn’t it?
