A lovely Christmas card! My brilliant Callistemon shrub greets me at the patio door every morning. What a display at this time of year. Great Christmas colours, red, green and white!
These shrubs really thrive bayside of Melbourne.

this is gorgeous, we have a bottle brush tree in our garden!!

  • Thanks Charmiene….take a shot of your tree too!I know we get used to them, but when I look at them through ‘fresh eyes’ I can see how spectacular they are. Seeing as they bloom madly not long before Christmas they seem a natural for a really RED Christmas card!

    What a beautiful greeting!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks Carolyn! Down Under the sun can be blazing but we’re still wedded to the idea of northern hemisphere Christmas colours…snow, red santa suit/berries/robins, etc. One way to feel Christmas-ey without resorting to snow scenes is to use a shot like this!
