A hot summer’s day at Dromana Beach on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne, Australia. Dromana is an easy day trip from Melbourne and a popular destination on the Peninsula. The clouds were fabulous on this day!
Calm blue water, partly cloudy blue sky, perfect day on the Mornington Peninsula well captured Victoria.
Hi Trish….thanks for commenting. Must admit I am enjoying the perfect weather at the moment. Hope it’s long-lived, I’m not looking forward to the heat of Jan/Feb.
Lovely calming image, very nice sky too, oh if only we could make it using cloud shots some of us would have cash rolling in faster than we could spend it. And would you like to swap places we are in the mid winter phase here and my bones need a bit of heat!
Thanks for stopping to comment, Trevor. Yes, I can well imagine how cold it is way up north right now…lived ten years in the northern hemisphere. Don’t worry, we Aussies will be hovering over our heaters by the middle of the year! :^)
Thank you so much for commenting Lois! I appreciate it very much. Went for a walk this morning along the same stretch of beach, and as always, it was truly “a breath of fresh air”.
The clouds give it a dynamism that it wouldn’t have otherwise.
Exactly! I often think photos of sea and sand wouldn’t be anything without the sky itself. It’s purely cooincidence that I happened to be out that morning :^)

Wonderful. That sky adds that je ne sais quoi.
Thank you so much….yes, it’s the sky that’s the real star of this shot. I just happened to be there at the right time!

Hi Barbara…yes, somehow living near the beach makes me feel as though I’m on holiday all the time! Have to convince myself into action sometimes!
