My style of photography is best depicted as emotional, moody, evocative and I focus on shades of black and white and hide in the shadows of the images.
Wow you are right …. so similar! I think a lot of these wonderful Victorian buildings had the wow factor.I am going to Google this place now :-) x
heheh I knew that you would like it! I find it amazimg that we are across the other side of the world, and yet still have them same, amlost exact structure. It shows the history and I love history x

It is fab lol!!
I have also been trying to photograph refurbished Asylums. This normally consisted of the water tower and admin block only unfortunately. A friend of mine still treats people who had brain Biopsies at Barnsley Hall Asylum just round the corner from me!
I work in a Hospital in Sydney, and do I dare admit this? We have many patients with mental illness and it’s sad to see them every day, but sometimes we do get a laugh…Mental illness has many sides, not just the dark and hidden ones that most people think about. ohh and you need to get some shots of where he works.
Ohhhhh it was abandoned for years but I wasn’t interested then!!
Had some really dark secrets there …. all the 19th century notes and pictures were in a skip outside!!
OMG, yeah just throw them there boys lol…
Wonderful shot hun, love the processing.
Thanks hun x I knew you would like this one lol
I love the texture overlay and the film sprockets that you can just see :)

You are really churning some cracking images out my friend, Another great one!!!
as always, thanks darling! I like the look of this tower. It stands over an old Mental Institute now closed after 123 years, and it’s a very powerful shot for me.
thanks for stopping by
This is fantastic Ann, love that texture, really enhances the mood in this piece so well. Ever gone inside this place?
Thanks Andrew. I have been in ward 17 and 18, and need to get back there and walk around to see what else I can find! The history on this place is amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
