Yangshuo, Guangxi Province, China

Yangshuo (阳朔; Yáng shuò) is a very scenic, small county and city surrounded by many karst mountains and beautiful scenery near Guilin, Guangxi.

Yangshuo is popular for its incredible karst scenery, beautiful mountains, rivers, caves, and temples as well as its laid back cafes and bars. However, as a result, there is no shortage of tourists, ex-pats, and other foreigners.

I did my National Service in the early 1950`s at Kai Tak, Hong Kong. A most fascinating place. So much different now to what it was then.

  • Oooohhhh I love Hong Kong too… fabulous mix of east and west. Yeah, I bet it has changed loads! I live in Shanghai and if you go away for 2 WEEKS things are different when you get back!
