Baby's in Belljars

It might have been today
When my body layed flat against some other girls bed
And I let myself remember
I let myself remember how much I miss you.
Not for the highs of the jokes or the never again notes
But the cumulative effort that brought you to stand in my kitchen
Welcoming as children

it’s broken though
our walls torn down/horses escaped
And I’d ask where they are storing me
‘cause my body’s not been the same since
my minds gone.
but the chatter never answers

Susan says it’s a systematic movement we each know to stay alive
’cause no ones got real ears anymore
Just prosthetic kinds from the store
And what can you hear through those
syllables and consonants

Just syllables and consonants.

to say we sound alike may make me seem a bit conceited
    but we certainly do
your form and syntax are simply ingenious
i am sure in life you are dangerously clever and
an absolute burden to converse with
    kudos

  • ha. in fact
not many people will interact with me.
    but your assumptions are
    unreasonably
    flattering.
    thankyou.

Chlobot I really like your writing – it has an absolutely individual voice and always comes up with something unexpected. Love it
