I am going to say this is my first real photo processing job in CS4. That said, I am very happy with how this turned out. In the process of working with this version I learned a lot. I learned that:
-I have been saving my JPEG from RAW in highest compression thus losing detail. FIXED
-Apply Unsharp Mask when you are finished instead of first. FIXED
-Manually blending an exposure is hard and time consuming, especially when you are blending more than one file (crazy respect to others who do this). LEARNED
-SAVE SAVE SAVE after every adjustment. LEARNED
-HDR is awesome but it has its times and places, nothing is more satisfying than seeing a photo turn out almost exactly as you remember it. LEARNED

I know I learned more than this during the processing of this photo, but these are the ones I feel I should share.

Please tell me what you think. Please Please Please critique.

I really do not know why I never posted this photo before. I have the same photo with a quick shutter and HDR treatment posted but I am so glad that I forgot this until today.

Tools used:
Canon XSi 18-55mm lens
tiltall tripod
B+W circular polarizer
Hat to kill the lens flare

Excellent work and editing. Sometimes I used levels layer on my waterfalls shots. It seems to brighten them some. In All Water in Motion group there needs to be a camera in the discription before it’s accepted. BigD

  • Oops sorry will fix that now.

I think the photo looks awesome. Bond is one of my favorite Michigan waterfalls and you sure captured in nicely!

  • Thank you. It sure is awesome. I wish I could have gotten there in the early morning. Was pretty crowded.
