This is Wagner Falls in Michigan. I went here on a rainy spring day. This is shot with a B+W polarizer and a warm cokin. The mist was incredible from the rain and the water crashing over the falls. It was very hard to keep my lens dry and I was constantly wiping it down. I did not see any spots in this shot so if you do please tell me. I shot lots of shots here of the waterfall and of the spring melt rivers that feed into it (which I will be posting soon). Was a little bummed when I was walking out because another photographer was walking in with his mark ds1 and his manfrotto. Made me feel so amateur.

Please critique….

HDR process:
1 RAW exposure with a B+W polarizer and a cokin warm filter
initial processing in canon imageprocessor, no additional sharpening, +1 bump in contrast
Converted to 3 exposure -1, 0, +1 and processed in Photomatix
Strength was 81
Saturation was 80 I believe
Light strength was medium
luminosity was -2

Great Photo. Could you please add some information about the HDR Process that you used (i.e. What Software, What method, How many exposures, etc.) and repost it to the Group, then we will be able to accept it into the HDR Group.

  • Thank you. Definitely will do.

BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO and as my photography instructor told us years ago – it’s not the camera – it’s the human behind the camera -

  • I appreciate that very much. Thank you Michelle. :)

you are most welcome mate. keep snapping and keep posting.

  • Im going to upload a different version of this soon as most people are telling me it is too dark. I processed it on my new Macbook and it was great but on PC’s it is showing dark. I guess I need to figure out my monitor brightness better.
