Pentax Optio 750Z 1/500 14mm F/3.5 ISO 80 Uploaded for challenge A group of all ages and nationalities sharing a common bond – we are a family. From a Celebration/Conference/Training session held in July 2007 on the shores of the Lake in the beautiful city of Lausanne. This image brings memories of joy and sadness too with the passing of the beautiful Rafael, who not only was a Master Presenter for TaiChi QiGong, but also translated French/English for the training. His power and grace are missed by our fraternity.
Great group shot, and I think group shots are really tough. But this shows spirit and enthusiasm and conveys movement. Cool!
You are right! There is usually someone looking disconnected,. So, Jan that is very kind of you .. I was hoping that the connection between the subjects would show … and I think you got the energy that was present! Thank you.
Their enthusiasm about being together for a group shot clearly looks genuine. Had to arrange many group shots and grip ‘n’ grins in my old corporate jobs. The people looked wooden, as if wishing they were somewhere else.
We agreed it was a good shot at the time; what you have not pointed out for those who do not tie you in with your avatar—JUDY IS SECOND FROM RIGHT! (I am only a little proud of my Sister—note capital S)
Thanks to my younger sister … who has natoriously, over time, sent me the most hideous birthday cards (anonymously ofcourse) to remind me of our age difference. But she is MY little sister and I would not have her any other way!.

I’m sorry to hear about Rafael…may the memories last forever.
Thank you Von ,.. he was a key member of our group, had travelled out to Australia too and endeared himself to us all. Your comment was so thoughtful.
