Thanks Ellen. It was an opportunistic shot. I came across them on the river bank … and seeing it was hand held … I was quite pleased!! But certainly not such tiny subjects as yours!!!

Ellen … just checked back … yes .., it was my first outing with it … and I had it on taking shots across the river of a man catching fish. I did not change lenses. I did not have my prime 50mm with me .,. that might have been interesting too. But I am oh so very new to tech stuff. I still get a surprise when I get a series of good shots … but am starting to see why (and why not) some work and others dont. I am getting a monopod …. I remember being on my knees and using my elbow as a prop!! Just as well I am a Pilates instructor with good core control hey?? even if I do have old bones! Plan to take my 70-300Nikkor to Darwin for a week.

Ta Evita. Just a little concerned about taking ChiChi to a kennel. The family I will be visiting in Darwin were usually the caregivers for my dog(s) when I go away!!
