I want to start taking photos myself and not just use ones from other sites. Can anyone suggest a good camera for beginners? Also, how do you get them from the camera to the computer? This is very new to me.

When you buy your camera it usually comes with a wire that plugs into the camer and also the computer, and there’s generally some sort of software to load onto the computer that helps you upload from camera to computer.

I use an installed card reader – I just take the card out of the camera and plug it into the computer and copy the pictures to my computer that way – lots faster. If you can’t afford an installed card reader you can buy a plugin card reader for around $20.

I have a Nikon D50 – very reasonably priced and takes high quality shots. Nikon also have a good range of lenses that adhere to the automation of the camera. Nice feature is the fact you can take multiple shots at high speed – hence, my firework shots. Strongly recommend this camera as a beginner one.
