Friday night it will be just 221,560 miles (356,567 km) away. It will be 14 percent bigger in our sky and 30 percent brighter than some other full moons during the year, according to NASA.

This picture of the Full moon was taken on 12/12/2008 at Midnight, Central, United State time in Texas. With a EOS Canon Digital Rebel XTi 75-300mm Canon lense. Picture that is shown here has been altered, by enlarging the moon to show detail. I will post the ORIGINAL picture shortly and add a link to it here, and a link for this Full Moon picture on it. The Camera lense was zoomed in the full 300mm lense using the TV setting, flash off.

The moon that night was indeed in fact very large and bright. A bit too bright for my A-DEP setting.

Yeah, she is!! The Moon moves slow to the eye, but through the eye of lense it’s fast. I can set it up facing the moon, right smack dab in the middle, a minute later it’s of to the right and out of frame! It just moves so fast!! Thank you so very much for you sweet complements. :) :)
