Several years ago I did my Honours year in painting with an aime to strengthen my work and make connections. It did not work as everyone was so inward looking. I love the fact that within two days I have made contact with all these amazing artists who I admire and inspire me. The comments and responses once in a group let me know that I am part of something bigger.
If you are in Melbourne and are intersted I have a show at Fitzroy Regional Library (128 Moor Street Fitzroy) from the 20th September (6 larger wall works) and then 9 smaller works will be added on the 25th of October in the display cases. This is an exhibition of angels and spirit guides.

I am balancing my Masters in Education, an artist in residency (mosaics) a daughter recovering from a major back operation, and the death of a loved family pet. my art is my sanity space and support. It is where I live and the thing that supports me on the deepest level.
Setting up my web site was a great de-stress and having time tand inspiration to go into creative promotion mode. I have ordered business cards etc from Vista print that only cost for the shipping and got lots of other freebies. Worth looking at if you have been slow to mobilise on promotion of your work as I have. The shipping costs but when you are not paying for the majority of your merchandise it is a great way to begin.
I am still looking for an inexpensive option to create my Spirit Dance cards as quotes in the thousands are way out of my league.

I have only caught up on your reply to me here…i guess with everything happening it’s hard sometimes to keep up!
You have a lot on your plate and i can only imagine how hard this must be.
Hope your daughter is doing well!
I can really relate to what you have said here, that your art is “your sanity space… supporting you on the deepest level”
All the very best with the promotional side of things… we have to be “jack of all trades” it seems to try and keep everything within a budget. Thanks for the heads up on the “vista print” cards… i have seen them…but did not like the images to select from..i print my own via my printer and can make a limited number of them changing the image on my card to suit what i am tring to promote… if I gain an award…i can state this on the card as well as changing the image.. i like the flexibitlity of this rather than having 1000 cards with the same details on them.
Once you get your Spirit Dance Cards up and running I’m sure they will be a success!
Keep in touch.
All the best.

Just, touching base,
thanks for the reply, I started work on another mosiac artist in residency today which was great-as i have been away from work for awhile now with Lizzy. She starts back at school progressively next week. Life flows on…
Have a great day,
Cheryle
