The Morrigain is the Goddess of Sexuality and War, and to meet her was to stare death in the face.
And is a consept it is something i come back to time and time again
In this image i wanted to capture the moment when she turns from a Crow into the Goddess and is the last thing you may ever see as death comes in her wake.
All my images start out as sketchs before being inked, it is then i take my own approach and start shading each image with thousands of dots so you could call me a pointerlist, then the layer of colour are added and made up of water colour and coloured pencil, then when the image is coloured it is inked again, to sharpen lines and make the detail stand out this is then inhanced when the images are place behind glass, and at this stage the depth that the shading gives comes into its own.
