The Witch's Kitchen (Colour Image}

This work was drawn some time ago, and i’ve only just got round to colouring it in.
Many of the images i have put up here at Redbubble have this Hedgewych theam and its one of those that i come back to again and again. I often wonder what it would have been like if there was a large bubbleing coldron on the go with herbs and spices and strange ingreadents on the go. And then i remember that not so long ago it was still against the law to be a witch or practice witchcraft. And so we all have this idea of the fantasy witch from fabels and fairytales, which you could say we are each reclaiming in our own way.
In doing so we are each making our own little stand and saying here i am,
In many of my witchy images the stile of dress the witchs are wareing exsists and is hanging in my wardrobe a reminder of the costumes i use to make for museams and historical events, whilst the cat in this image is my ginger tom Amber, who i call my little art critic as since hes been a kitten he’s alway managed to find somewhere near me whilst i’m working on my art
