Hi there and thank you for viewing my work.

My name is Cherish Watkins (known as Crystal to some) and I live in Spokane, Washington, USA.

I am a lover of the photographic eye. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always enjoyed everything about photography. Once upon a time I wanted to be a photographer as a carreer, but unexpected things and changes in preference have put a few roadblocks in the way of that dream. But I am young and know that there is still time.

Meanwhile, I use my new digital SLR to make beautiful pictures of my family and whatever catches my eye along the way… Capturing our memories is what comes first… art second. I have two gorgeous little girls, so you will see some shots of them in my portfolio.

I attended Spokane Falls Community College and earned an AAS in photography. Many photos in my portfolio are from that time. My final internship was at the local headquarters for Zak Designs (you may have some of their products in your home right now!). That was where I fell in love with simplistic commercial photography. It may sound weird but I truely enjoyed the time alone with my white set and dishes making sets for catalog features. Since then, I’ve been bugging them for a job but apparently they have enough interns from the college to get all their work done for free. :-(

Nature and landscape is another love of mine, as you may have guessed. I enjoy framing the ordinary to accentuate it’s beauty in the form of art. Also, I like high-contrast, vibrant colors and oddities. I hope you enjoy my work. I certainly enjoyed making it.
