A photograph I took of an august lilly that grows in my backyard. I was so pleased when I saw how these gorgeous flowers blossom in the later part of summer!

I know we talk too much on our cell phones, we count on them for so much. You cannot go anywhere nowadays and not see someone chattng on their phone, taking pictures, sometimes it looks like they are stuck to their heads! Sad that many people can’t make a move without them.

I’m thinking that we should just stop using them so much. Don’t let technology and apps rule your life! Be personable! Get back to what is important and talk to your friends face to face! Take a stroll through a garden together or have a lovely ‘tea’ luncheon, meet at a local book store or library, there are so many places to share your lives with each other.

So, the next time you use your phone, use it to call your friend or family member to tell them ‘We need to talk, face to face!’ then hang up and put that phone away!
