Sacred Cow by

Yellow. The colour of life, creation, the sun.

The sacred cow is revered in India. It can be found on virtually any street. It walks where it wants, when it wants. People and traffic move around them or come to a dead stop to let them pass. Their painted horns, flowers and bells are spectacular. Their gentle eyes and unhurried amble bring instant peace.

Busy streets, honking horns, hurried hordes of people. Free range cows. Ancient tradition in a modern world.

  • thank you very much Sanyam! your photos are great. I miss India. I spent 3 months in India and have thought of it almost every day since I left 9 years ago. Your photos took me back there.
