Indian Night
I was doing a massage course and staying on a little beach near the tip of southern India.
This lady was my next door neighbour. She lived in a hut on the edge of the sea and often used to sit on the front step, taking a rest and looking out towards the horizon. She lived in this hut with her extended family but the funny thing was there never seemed to be any men around.
One day the mystery was solved. The Indian police arrived with their long sticks and proceeded to probe the ground for a very long time all around the hut. I discovered that this lady was the matriach of a moonshine making dynasty. All the men of the family were in jail because the family ran an illegal distellery.
Even while the men were away the women of the family continued to provide the village with sly liquor.
