Hi Cheryl! Thanks for buying this as a print…this painting was originally going to be blue poppies but when I painted them on the blue background it just didn’t work, so I changed them to white. My next attempt is going to be blue poppies — so please hang in there, they are coming! :) All the best for 2012 xxx

I’m so excited about this print Cherie. I love the story behind it too. I’m being patient and having fun seeing what you create. Funny story, I collected so many beautiful pieces of blue poppy art/cards that I ended up redecorating my bathroom lol. I was tired of the “under the sea” theme and happy to switch to blue poppies. OMG Cherie, I love my “white, almost blue poppies” but this “true blue” (pun intended) one is more than worth waiting for!!! Of course, I just went to work out the framing on the other one today lol. Oh well, they love me at the framing store! I have this in my cart and now have to coordinate how I’m hanging all of this. Oh how I wish I could afford the original!!! Know any single, rich guys??? Anyway, I didn’t tell you, the “wall” became a small gallery, so I am redoing my bathroom/dressing room are in blue poppies. I promise I will send photos, it is about 80% done (unless you keep tempting me here lol). God bless you talented lady!…cheryl

You know, this makes me think of a very old print from the early 1900’s. (No idea why.) It’s just got an old vibe about it and I like that. :) I like the movement that I feel here too. Fine work!
