The taste of newness
and freshness,
Coupled with the metallic tang
of potential disappointment;
and
sweet soft flesh.

Denial is distant
in the darkness
and close in the morning
as urgency of the night
fades.

With shadowlike
infiltration
it makes liars of
promises uttered between
open mouthed kisses .
